Painter 8 have many Brushes. But it is hard to find.
So, sort Brush Categories by add number before name, by kind ofbrushes, for find easy.
(For reference, add Painter7.1 and Painter6.1 brushes.)

You can rename by your hand, (*1) but I made rename tools.
(Tools on this page for English only.)

(*1) On Windows FAT File System, order of the brushesis not by name,
order by create time.
Tool for Windows can reorder both ofNTFS/FAT.


Mac (OS X and Classic):

1. Open your Painter Brushes Folder: "Corel Painter8/Brushes/"
2. File>Duplicate your original Brush folder "PainterBrushes" (Get "Copy of Painter Brushes")
3. Rename "Copy of Painter Brushes" to "Painter BrushesOriginal"
4. Open "Corel Painter 8/Brushes/Painter Brushes/"folder (many xxx.jpg and xxx folder in it).
5. Get ReName.scpt (Brush Rename Tool (AppleScript) :DownloadReName.scpt.sit.hqx)
6. Put it into "Corel Painter 8/Brushes/PainterBrushes/".
7. Double Click ReName.scpt (rename xxx.jpg to nn_xxx.jpg, xxxfolder to nn_xxx)


Windows:

1. Open your Painter Brushes Folder: "Corel Painter8/Brushes/"
("Painter Brushes" folder in it)
2. Get rename.bat (Brush Rename Tool (DOS Batch) :Download rename.bat.zip)
3. Put it into "Corel Painter 8/Brushes/"
This tool make folders "dddotmp" and "Painter BrushesOriginal".
If you have the same name folder, please rename toanother.
4. Double Click rename.bat
(open DOS window and rename xxx.jpg to nn_xxx.jpg, xxx folder tonn_xxx automaticaly.)
5. Close DOS window.
